Bishop Brandon B. Porter

Bishop Brandon B. Porter is a fourth-generation member of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), the son of the late Bishop W.L. Porter and Mother Ida M. Porter. He began preaching in 1976 and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming pastor of Greater Victory Temple and later taking leadership of Greater Community Temple COGIC in Memphis. Under his leadership, the church has grown to over 5,000 members with multiple campuses. Bishop Porter is also a gifted author, singer, songwriter, and evangelist who has traveled the nation sharing God’s Word.

Throughout his ministry, Bishop Porter has held numerous leadership roles in the COGIC at every level, including vice chairman of the National Trustee Board and president of the International Youth Department. In 2009, he became the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Tennessee Central Jurisdiction, which now includes over 95 churches. He was elected to the COGIC General Board in 2012, joining the highest governing body of the denomination. Bishop Porter continues to reach millions through preaching, writing, media, and community development initiatives.
